|1 C.||Granulated Sugar|
|1/2 Stick||Butter or Margarine|
|1/4 C.||Milk or Half&Half|
|1/4 C.||Peanut Butter|
|1 1/4 C.||Rolled Oats|
|1/2 Tsp.||Vanilla Extract|
- Mix first four ingredients (sugar through cocoa) in a saucepan and boil one minute.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- While still warm, drop heaping tablespoons-full of mixture onto wax paper.
- When cool and firm, snack away.
These keep well refrigerated or frozen in an airtight container.
This is a family recipe from my late wife Jean Brooking. The recipe was misfiled and I thought it had been lost, but just found it while looking for something else. It was always a favorite, and very easy to make - no baking.
